How to make a Backup?
Simple Guide for creating a Backup
All BOSS Softwares are folder specific installations. There are no fuss, no hidden tricks, no special installers, no nothing! Just the files inside its very own folder.
All you have to do is copy the content of the folder where you are working and have it pasted on a new blank folder. This can be done thru a simple "windows explorer" series of clicks --- file-select all, file-copy and file-paste modes.
Best way is to have the backup on a "memory stick", a separate hard disk or another computer on a network, it's an insurance when you went out of luck with a 'dead-crashed' hard disk.
Be prepared, disk space comes cheap nowadays. If you can buy SDRams, IPODs for your 'music files', there is no reason to quirk on that "must-have hard drive". A good habit coupled with an easy to remember folder names is but a requisite. Anyway, you don't want your mind to be cluttered with "where and when did i place it" questions.
So, for good reason, always do the backup and rename the folders based on the day you actually created it.
Sample is, if you want to backup the "paywin" folder of your payroll system on may 7, 2015... file-copy the whole content of the folder and have it pasted on another folder named "xx05072015paywin". if you did it again in may 24, 2015, file-copy it into "xx05242015paywin", and so on.
The "xx" is important in order to have a good "alphabetic list out" whenever you explore and browse your hard drive. And they all, will be at the bottom of the list. If its already October 2015, and you, of course have newer backups, it is easy to drop and delete your "xx05??2015" backup series. This goes on, and you get your money's worth by truly maximizing the functionality of your hard disk.
